Frequently Asked Questions

1. Where is Guest Parking?

Guest parking is conveniently located right in front of the church on the south side, directly in front of the main entrance. If you’re coming from the south on Pine Tree (1845), turn left at the church, and the guest parking spots will be on your right.

We offer a variety of programs for children:

  • Sunday Mornings:
    • Nursery & Preschool: Fully staffed and secure, running concurrently with Sunday School and Worship.
    • Sunday School: Classes for Pre-K through 6th grade.
    • Children’s Church: K-6th graders join their families for Praise & Worship and then are dismissed to the gym for age-appropriate activities that teach Biblical truths.
  • During the School Year (August through September):
    • Mountain Adventure Camp (MAC): An after-school program from 3:45 PM to 5:45 PM for K-6th graders, bridging the gap between school and Awana.
    • Awana: Starts at 6:00 PM, using a global curriculum to help kids know, love, and serve Christ.

3. How Do I Join the Church?

  • During Services: At the end of Sunday services, you may come forward during the invitation time to speak with the pastor about joining EMBC.
  • Appointments: You can also schedule a meeting with the pastor during the week to discuss membership.

We have various ministry groups, including Sunday School classes, men’s and women’s ministries, senior ministries, and music ministries. Information about these groups is available on our website. Simply attend a class or meeting to get involved!

5. How Do I Get Involved in Sunday School Ministry or Other Leadership Roles?

  • Volunteering: Many roles simply require stepping up and volunteering.
  • Leadership: For leadership positions, we prefer individuals to be members of EMBC for at least one year to ensure alignment with our beliefs and practices.

6. What Denomination is EMBC Affiliated With?

EMBC is part of:

  • Southern Baptist Convention (SBC): A national denomination with over 50,000 churches and 16 million members, involved in global missions through the International Mission Board and North American Mission Board.

EMBC is an autonomous local church that chooses to participate in these entities.
