Church Staff

Wes has pastored East Mountain Baptist since April of 2007 and has been married to his wife Misty since April of 2008. He surrendered to ministry in 1994. Wes obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from LeTourneau University in Longview, TX in 1996, and a Master's of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX in 2000. His first pastorate was Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church in Batesville, MS from 2000-2007. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, reading, and spending time with friends and family. His favorite authors include Max Lucado, John Maxwell, Ray Pritchard, and Milton Friedman. His heroes are Jesus Christ and Ronald Reagan. His favorite verse of the Bible is Ezekiel 36:23, "Then the nations will know that I am the Lord...when I show Myself holy among you before their eyes."

Chris has served as youth pastor at East Mountain Baptist since 2007. He and Amy have been married since 2003, and their son Judd is two years old. Chis has been in youth ministry for seven years and feels God has been able to use his past in order to effectively reach teens. He enjoys sports, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. His favorite verse is John 10:10, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

Rob has served as Children's Pastor since 2004. He and his wife Kristy have two children, Hailey and Chandler. Rob began teaching and subbing in Sunday School in 1990. He also worked bus routes for 15 years, has led children's church at East Mountain since 2004, and has worked in the AWANA program for three years. Rob graduated from LeTourneau in 2003. He enjoys playing golf. His favorite verses are Romans 8:37-38, "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

 

Aaron joined the East Mountain staff in 2004. He and his wife Susan have been married since 2007. Aaron has been involved in music all of his life and knew God was calling him to use his skills and talent for God's glory. He enjoys music and sports. His favorite verse is Matthew 6:33, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

 

Veronica joined the staff in 2001. She and her husband Skip have two children, Joshua and Jessica. Veronica enjoys working with people and being part of God's ministry at East Mountain. She has also served as AWANA Director for nine years and loves working with the children. She enjoys camping, crafts, decorating, and spending time with family. Her favorite verses are Psalm 27:1, "The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?" and Philippians 4:13, "I can do everything through him who gives me strength."
